Around the World in 1 Day: Homecoming 2018

Have you ever been around the world in one night? Obviously, not a lot of people are able to travel the globe throughout their lives, let alone in one night, but students at Terryville High School managed to become world travelers in their very own school walls. They arrived in the main entrance of the building only to be transported to different places around the world. They were given this magical opportunity to see parts…

My Fault

She was a child with a naive mind. A little girl who saw no cruelty. Didn’t suspect bad in a single soul. Trusted everyone she’d meet.   She was nine years old, still a kid. She was picked on by older girls. She was scared and cried every day. But she still had faith in the world.   In fifth grade, she was more grown up. She crawled back up the social rope. Her teacher…

Sun and Moon

When I first met him there was a daisy tattooed on his neck. It screamed the beauty that I wish I could emit. He told me, tan hands wrapping around mine, that “the sun and the moon are one in perfect balance. Those that destroy have been destroyed in the past.” He would whisper in my ear the secrets of the light. The roses swooned for him, the clouds bowed to him with familiarity. The…

Wrinkles

When I was a child, I was always fascinated by the water. My mom tells me that even as far back as when I was a baby, that I would stare, transfixed, into the swirling reflective liquid. Occasionally I even reached out my chubby little baby hand to touch the water, swirling it around and making eddies that rippled away to the other end of the bathtub. But, to my child self, the most captivating…

The Burning Men

“Two men were killed in a car accident this morning at 3:34AM. Our live reporter, Clara Eden, is on the field to give us more details. Clara, please enlighten us on the current state of things.” “Well Darrell, our sources are saying that the cars had illegal modifications, such as rear-end engines, improvised versions of turbo and other such ‘improvements’ that caused the explosion. The crash was sparked by-” That was all that needed to…

Untitled (Rap)

(Chorus) Imma die alone while i’m thinkin’ bout my woes Everybody think I’m fine but i’m blurred between the lines I couldn’t care less Wish you the very best Just a waste of my time Just a waste of my time x2 (verse) Shorty hit my phone When i’m all alone Now I need to call But the truth is standing tall Never let me down Why you gonna lie Always say you love me…

November 3, 2018

When I first met him I was happy, I defined myself as content in the eyes of myself and others, I was content. I will say honestly that my life without him would not have changed drastically but he changed me, I was breathing before him, blinking, I was living before him. I don’t want to be the type of person to claim indifference, in fact I’m minimalist, without the desperate need for people like…
