Social gatherings may be temporarily canceled, but reading is not! THS staff members rallied their voices in favor of reading to support the THS Summer Reading assignments, which were distributed digitally to the district in the last week of May. Teachers and staff across the school shared their diverse love of books, such as assistant principal Mr. Vigliotti, literacy specialist Mrs. Simpson, guidance counselor Mrs. Lusitani, history teacher Mr. Schumann, and of course, English teachers Mrs. Dinnan, Ms. Scott, and Mrs. Avcollie. Each staff member showed at least one book they planned to read of the summer, such as woodshop teacher Mr. Fuller’s choice, The Adirondack Chair: A Celebration of a Summer Classic and Mr. Hults’s choice of The Book Thief.
