Spring Sports Season Gets Green Light from CIAC

Recent updates on winter and spring sports: According to the CIAC, “[t]he CIAC is in the process of developing COVID mitigating plans for all spring sports, which will begin on March 27, with the first contest date on April 10. 2018-2019 Winter Sports Recap

Boy’s Basketball The Terryville High Schools boys basketball team produced a 5-12 record for the 2018 – 2019 winter season. Captain Colin Bamrick led the Terryville Boys Basketball team whereupon they had a victorious season against their main rivals, Thomaston High School. Students flocked to the Terryville vs.Thomaston game on 1-11-19 and with their peers cheering them on, the boys defeated “the other THS” by 7 points with a final score of 54 to 47….

  Last Friday, as the skies opened up and the torrential rain came pouring down, the rival Roos and Bears fought it out in a full court press. Members of both the Thomaston and Terryville communities came to support the Staff Basketball game, a recent revival of the epic rivalry between the two towns.
