National Honor Society Induction Not Dampened by Pandemic

The Terryville High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 11 new members on Friday, March 5, 2021. Although the ceremony was different than usual, the existing members ensured that the inductees and their accomplishments were celebrated. Each new member received a flower, certificate, and NHS pin. 2020 marks the 99th year since the formation of National Honor Society (NHS), an organization made up of hundreds of chapters from different high schools across the United States. Members are chosen to join based on their personal academic achievement as well as their involvement in and outside of their community. Students receive recognition at THS’s annual National Honors Society Induction

On Thursday March 1st, 2018 the Terryville High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 21 new members. The vice principal, Mr. Vigliotti, gave words of encouragement to the new inductees before each of the NHS officers gave speeches detailing the four pillars of National Honor Society.
