A Final 2019-2020 Message from Mr. Hults

It is certainly easy to list the tremendous number of negative impacts that COVID-19 has had on our society and our world.  From the inconvenience of grocery shopping with a mask and having to follow arrows on the floor, to the far more serious and real impact the disease has had on families medically.  For our community, I certainly hope the impact has been with a lack of toilet paper and hand sanitizer and not the latter.

But what about the positive, the silver lining?  Within the perspective of the global impact, I see a gift.  The gift of a reset, an opportunity to look at all of our individual and societal habits and systems.  We have been given the gift to reconsider what we value, how we spend our time, who we spend our time with, and what we are willing to commit to.  No longer do we live in a safe bubble with the assumption that what has worked for many generations past will continue to work for future generations.

For our students and our community, I hope we take this pandemic, accept what it has taken from us, but also appreciate what it is giving us.  The 2019-20 school year is about to wrap up and there is much wonderment about what the 2020-21 school year may look like.  During this transition, take time to reflect on what you have learned and consider how you may approach each new day.
