Memory Making Mosaics

If you haven’t yet taken Mrs. Ritchie’s stained glass class, then you may not know what a mosaic is. As defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a mosaic is, “a surface decoration made by inlaying small pieces of variously colored material to form pictures or patterns.” If that definition wasn’t enough for you, then sometime hopefully next year a mosaic will be coming to THS, courtesy of everyone’s favorite art teacher, Mrs. Ritchie!  The idea for…

Ready to Learn, Ready to Thrive

Walking into school for their first “normal” day back after the chaos of the past year and a half, Terryville High School students did not expect the plans that awaited them. Instead of the usual bouncing from classroom to classroom and going over syllabi and rules, students were first instructed to make their way out to the track to the sound of motivating music where a pep rally of sorts was held. Virtual Holiday Cheer With Student Council Celebration

This past December, the THS Student Council worked alongside our teachers and staff to host a fun and festive virtual holiday celebration before our annual winter break. Due to COVID-19 and the CDC-suggested guidelines that are still in place, THS found it would be impossible to host the schoolwide holiday activities that would typically be held prior to the release for winter break.  This year, after discussion with their peers, the Student Council recognized that…
